LAPD / CityView

Working as a consultant / Specialist for the Los Angeles Police Department, I gain a lot of valuable experience working with the men and work of second largest policing agency in the country.

I started consulting with LAPD in the early nineties, when Willie Williams took over the helm of the department.
Williams made considerable changes to the department on the heels of the Reginald Denny, Rodney King, and of course the Rampart scandal.

My job was to create a vehicle to increase a working relationship with the community and the department. Together with the community affairs division, we went into the 18 geographical area of Los Angeles, with the objective of creating a partnership of understanding to those it serves.

The relationship lead to the creation of television programs such as LAPD Tonight, and LAPD Live aired on the CityView channel 35. Programs focused on delivering information to the community about community policing.
